ABOUT TEAMS

TEAMS is a coordinated, multi-site project originating in California but spanning across the US, aimed at testing enhancements to provider-level autism evidence-based interventions.

AUTISM INTERVENTION

Provider participants will receive training in an autism intervention according to their discipline: Mental health providers will be trained in AIM HI while teachers will be trained in CPRT.

Provider participants will be randomly assigned to one of two conditions in the TEAMS Individualized Provider Strategy for Training (TIPS for providers).

Program leader participants will be randomly assigned to one of two conditions in the TEAMS Leadership Institute (TLI for leaders).

TEAMS ENHANCEMENTS

In addition to drawing conclusions regarding improvements in child behavior, this study ultimately aims to identify mechanisms that result in successful provider training in autism treatment.

OUTCOMES

ABOUT AIM HI

AIM HI is a package of evidence-based practices aimed at reducing challenging behaviors of children with autism spectrum disorders being served in mental health settings.

ABOUT CPRT

CPRT is an evidence-based, naturalistic behavioral intervention for schools. It teaches strategies for high student engagement and motivation, as well as generalization of skills.
